As a wedding photographer, I am committed to operating in an environmentally responsible and socially conscious way while working at wedding venues. I recognise that weddings can have a significant environmental impact, and I aim to minimise my footprint while supporting venues, couples, and suppliers who share similar values.
Environmental Responsibility

Digital-First Approach
• All contracts, invoices, questionnaires, and galleries are delivered digitally to reduce paper use.
• Online proofing and delivery systems are used wherever possible.
Energy & Equipment Use
• Camera equipment, lighting, and computers are maintained for longevity and energy efficiency.
• Equipment is repaired rather than replaced where feasible.
• Batteries are rechargeable, and single-use batteries are avoided.
Waste Reduction
• Any waste produced is disposed of responsibly using the venue’s recycling and waste systems.
• Plastic use is kept to a minimum, including packaging and consumables. All my photography packaging Is recycled, and no plastic is used.
Travel & Transport
• Travel to and from the venue is planned efficiently to reduce unnecessary mileage.
• Where possible, I group bookings geographically and consider lower-emission transport options.
• When possible, I will lift share with other suppliers e.g. videographer
Working Respectfully at the Venue
• I follow all venue sustainability, waste, and environmental policies.
• I work considerately within natural and heritage spaces, avoiding damage to grounds, buildings, or wildlife.
• No litter, props, or equipment are left behind after coverage.
Continuous Improvement
• I regularly review my working practices to identify opportunities to further reduce environmental impact.
• I stay informed about more sustainable options within the photography and events industry.
